Soil Physical Characteristics of The Mangrove Ecosystem in Bone Bay, Palopo City

The distribution of mangrove plants is influenced by various factors, including the physical characteristics soil. study was conducted to determine soil in ecosystem Bone Bay, Palopo City. Soil sampling performed using purposive method five points with three replications based on equations growth and density vegetation. Physical sample, texture, color, permeability, bulk density, porosity, were analyzed laboratory. results showed that dominant textures squirming sandy loam. color very dark gray. permeability high belongs fast criteria, highest value 20.0 cm/hour at fourth depth point 0-30. 31-60 cm, a 0.81 gr/cm3. At same time, porosity classified as or good criterion, found third 0-30 cm 77%. In future, data can be used preliminary information databases for government organize preserve forests.
